Aug 10-Nov 3 "Eternal Egypt: Masterworks of Ancient Art from the British Museum." The first major exhibition to take an art historical approach with nearly 150 renowned masterpieces and other treasures that were selected by British Museum's keeper of Egyptian antiquities.

June 22 - Sept. 8 "YES Yoko Ono." 150 works on view explores the artist's early work in conceptual painting and film as well as her more recent projects in bronze sculpture and installation from Yoko Ono's 40-year career as an artist, poet and composer.

June 27-Sept. 8 "Willem de Kooning: Tracing the Figure." A comprehensive survey of 78 works on paper produced between 1938-1955 demonstrating the important and consistent role the female form played in de Kooning's artworks.

July 20 - Oct 20 "Taken by Design: Photographs from the Institute of Design, 1937-1971." The first museum exhibition to examine comprehensively the ID's significant contribution to the history of American photography, featuring some 200 images by approximately 75 photographers.

Aug 3 - Nov 10 "Dreaming in Pictures: The Photography of Lewis Carroll." This exhibition features approximately 80 pictures of Carroll's challenging and provocative portraits of children.

Through Nov. 24 "Numbers: A New Work By Kristin Oppenheim." This exhibition features a newly commissioned work of Oppenheim's installations, producing hypnotic effects that work with the repeated incantations to heighten the act of perception.

Through Jan 5, 2003 "Ellsworth Kelly in San Francisco." On exhibit for the first time are the 22 pieces that the museum acquired from Kelly's private collection.

"Serious Money" October 17 - November 2 -- Perhaps the most notorious play from Caryl Churchill (Cloud Nine, Mad Forest), Serious Money is a thriller about the cutthroat dealings of corporate raiders and white knights. In take-over mad '80s London, an ambitious cartel of arbitrageurs attempts a hostile takeover of the Albion Corporation. Their scheme takes a disastrous and deadly turn.
